Bring your children to create, learn, listen and laugh in our "Youth Involvement" area. Following this year's theme, "Destination India", we will embark on a journey through India. There will be many activities for children of all ages.. The young can create an Indian passport to have stamped as they travel through different sites in India as displayed in our "Discover India" booth. As the children move through the different sites they will be able to rnake postcards and other souvenirs similar to those from India. We will also have Indian folktales and story telling (both days) to give children an insight into India's history and culture. The older children will have the opportunity to play chess with a chessmaster. Chess was invented in India to help devise strategic positions on the battlefield. There will also be a "Wheel of Fortune" game for kids of all ages to play. It will consist of many trivia questions about India, which the children may learn right there at Indiafest. The goal of our "Youth Involvement" booth is to engage children in entertaining, yet knowledgeable, activities. Most of all, we want the youths to enjoy themselves and have fun. So, do come to Indiafest2010 and visit our Youth Involvement booth !!!!. |
